Our mission

The New York real estate exam is one of the more challenging state exams in the U.S. — and the existing prep options leave a lot to be desired. Big national brands often miss NY-specific topics (co-ops, Article 12-A, source-of-income protection, the mansion tax). Free study guides give you facts but no practice. Expensive prep courses pad their content with filler to justify the price.

We built NY Real Estate Prep with a single goal: help you pass the New York Salesperson exam on the first try, for less than the cost of a casual dinner in Manhattan.

How we approach question quality

Every question is written from scratch based on the publicly known NY State pre-licensing curriculum and Article 12-A of the NY Real Property Law. We don’t copy from textbooks or other prep providers. We don’t claim to have “actual exam questions” — nobody does, and anyone who claims otherwise is misleading you.

Questions are written to mirror the difficulty, length, and topic distribution of the real exam. Each question includes a complete explanation of why the correct answer is correct and why the other choices are wrong.

What we charge — and why
